2004 Maserati Spyder M138 4.2L V8 FI DOHC manual
All the high performace Oldsmobile Cutlass names from the '60's are back for the G4-from 1978 through 1980, and they offer top performace for the day, but are no longer the high compression power plants used prior to '73. The Cutlass Cailais could have the performance 442 option for all three years. In '79 the special edition Hurst/Olds power package is offered with 3,499 takers. The latter features the trusted 5.7 L (350) Rocket V8 coupled to either the 4 speed manual or the Turbo Hydra-matic with a Hurst Dual Gate shifter.

The 1975 Le Mans has the Pontiac Maximum Mileage System which adds a catalytic converter for cleaner emissions and better fuel economy-with improved drivability-according to the sales brochures of the day. The base engine offered is a 250 cu in (4.1 L) inline six, but a 350 (5.7 L) V8 engine is also offered and it could be mounted with a 2-barrel or a 4-barrel carburetor. The ultimate power in '73 is the 400 cu in (6.6 L) engine which could have either a two or a four barrel carb.
